End of Play 2022

Midpoint Check-In

Halfway Through writing a play: exercises

  • Choose the image you feel best encapsulates how you feel about your writing from the past fifteen days. Free-write for 5-10 minutes, starting with the prompt: “I feel this expresses my feelings about the first fifteen days because…”

  • Now, choose an image that depicts what you want the next fifteen days to feel like, then take 5-10 minutes to do some free-writing about the image. Start your prompt with: “This image captures how I want the next fifteen days to feel because…”

  • In continuing to think about the next fifteen days, ask yourself what you need to LEARN in order to complete your draft. Begin a 5 minute free-writing session with: “To feel this way about my writing, I need to learn…”
