2021: Women’s Voices
Despite having written some of the most compelling and outstanding plays of the 21st and 20th centuries, women’s voices are still chronically underrepresented in theaters across the country. In 2021, Theatre RX, a script reading and discussion group hosted by Whiskey Theatre Factory, will dive into nine seminal works that will challenge, inspire, and create conversation. If you are a theatre artist, an arts administrator, or if you simply enjoy reading and discovering plays, we hope you will join us for this series!
All discussions are led by Bethany Dickens Assaf and Jodi Antenor, with guest hosts joining every other month!
Discussions held over Zoom on the third Sunday of every month, 2:00pm-3:30pm Eastern. We recommend reading the play ahead of time but it’s not required, as we’ll be reading a summary and shorts excerpts.
